How to Get a Bigger Chest at Home With Push Ups (No Equipment) | Calisthenics for Beginners
Want to grow a bigger chest at home using just your bodyweight? I've got you.
In this video, you'll learn exactly how to get a bigger chest without equipment from the comfort of your own home. I've used (and continue to use) the tips in this video, so I know from experience they actually work.
If you finally want to fill out your T-shirts with a chest a silverback gorilla would be proud of, then make sure to watch the whole video because it's packed with tips you'll find useful.
When I first started calisthenics, I started by doing push ups, sit ups and leg raises in my room. These three calisthenics exercises alone helped me build a noticeably better physique, so it's very possible to get in better shape with basic calisthenics exercises at home.
The great thing about push ups (and most other calisthenics chest exercises) is that they also develop your shoulders, triceps and core. This helps to fill out your upper body overall, making your physique look more impressive while building strength.
Now, a confession: in the video I talk about the importance of progressing on to harder push up variations to constantly stimulate muscle growth. But I didn't really give many examples of other variations you can try. So, below is a video with 13 push up variations - ranked from beginner to advanced - that you can use to build your chest with no equipment.
**13 Push Up Variations (BEGINNER to ADVANCED!):** ua-cam.com/video/VGDGjwzyq3k/v-deo.html
In my opinion, the most useful push up variations for growing a bigger chest are:
- Push ups on your knees (only for complete beginners)
- Regular/military push ups
- Diamond push ups
- Decline push ups
- Decline diamond push ups
- Pseudo planche push ups
- Push up flies (advanced)
- Planche push ups (advanced)
You can do all of these weighted or with a backpack stuffed full of books to push your muscles even further.
Now you have some seriously useful knowledge to get the most out of your chest workouts. Train hard, train safe, and enjoy!

    Ashton no matter how i press my finger rips im always going forward and lose the balance can u tell me why?

    • @AshtonFitness
      @AshtonFitness 11 днів тому

      It could be due to: 1. Arching / bending the legs (which can cause the feet to travel beyond the top of the head and make you lose balance). Straight legs will make it easier. 2. Over arching / bending your back (this can cause your legs to arch over, making it harder to balance). A straight back will make it easier. 3. Practice. The more you practice, the easier it'll become Hope that helps

    @jacobwilson3367 14 днів тому

    I'm sorry, but this guy needs to do more research. I'm not going to go into it, but the different angles actually work different muscles. The dimand works triceps more and decline pushup work more of your upper chest. While incline push-ups are easier, they actually for your upper chest better than normal push-ups. You should pull your shoulder blads back and down to activate your chest more and your front delts less.

    • @AshtonFitness
      @AshtonFitness 14 днів тому

      I'm actually aware of all of this, but that wasn't the point of the video - which is why I didn't explain it. The key takeaways of the video are that you can get a bigger chest at home simply by doing harder calisthenics exercises, changing the angle of your body and positioning your limbs in different ways. That's the most important lesson here. Anyway, thanks for watching the video

    • @AshtonFitness
      @AshtonFitness 15 днів тому

      Really glad I could motivate you man 💪🏽 And best of luck with the recovery. Don't know why you had the surgery but I know exercises that strengthen the muscles around the scapulae help to restore range of motion, stability and strength in the shoulder. These are commonly referred to as "scapula exercises". I know this because I'm recovering from a shoulder injury and they've helped me a lot. I've done a lot of research into this and know it to be true for the majority of people too. If you haven't already, it's a good idea to speak to a physio. They can give you exercises to strengthen those muscles. Eric Wong (UA-cam channel: Precision Movement) also has helpful videos for shoulder recovery and shoulder rehab on UA-cam. Be warned: there's A LOT of rubbish on UA-cam when it comes to shoulder recovery. I learned this the hard way. It took months of research to figure out what was good. The ONLY reliably good person I came across after months of research was Eric Wong. But see a good physio in real life. It's essential. Because they'll be able to recommend exercises that are specific to the type of shoulder condition you have (or had). Hope this helps 💪🏽
